What is the problem this fool opened fire first.
It is real simple if you shoot at members of any group of law enforcement agents they will shoot back. And the odds your dumb ass will get killed.
It doesn't matter if your a Muslim or not you get stupid you die real simple.
John Conyers needs to clean up his own back yard before he starts casting stones.

Dearborn --The U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee chairman is calling for an independent federal investigation into the Oct. 28 fatal shooting of an Islamic imam by FBI agents. An autopsy released today found that Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah died from 21 bullet wounds during an October FBI raid on a Dearborn warehouse.

The report concluded the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and the manner was homicide. The need to provide a thorough, rigorous and transparent accounting of the shooting here is plain," Rep. John Conyers, D-Detroit, wrote in a Jan. 13 letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, asking that the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division launch a probe into the shooting.

FBI agents have said they were justified in shooting Abdullah because he had opened fire on the agents during a raid on a stolen-goods operation. An FBI dog was killed, prompting agents to return fire. But community leaders claim the FBI targeted Abdullah, and that the shooting was not justified -- allegations Conyers mentioned in his letter to Holder.

"These concerns are only inflamed when the Special Agent in charge of the Detroit FBI office asserts -- before investigation has been completed -- that 'I'm comfortable with what our agents did ... they did what they had to do to protect themselves.' Such preliminary judgments cause many observers to fear that (the Justice Department's) internal investigations will simply reach preordained conclusions to protect the government's own."

Released today by Wayne County Medical Examiner Dr. Carl Schmidt, the autopsy reveals Abdullah had several abrasions on his hands, although Schmidt said he could not confirm whether the wounds were caused by a dog. "There was no distinct pattern to any of the lacerations," Schmidt said, adding that Abdullah died instantly.

A federal indictment claimed that Abdullah led a radical separatist mosque and the stolen goods ring. The autopsy found Abdullah was hit twice in the chest, four times in the abdomen, twice in the groin, four times in the left hip and side, seven times in the left thigh, once in the scrotum and once in the back.

"At some point his back was turned," Schmidt said. "Whether that means someone meant to shoot him in the back or not, I couldn't say. He must have been slightly turned to the left (at the time of the shooting)."

Schmidt said his investigation could not determine whether Abdullah was shot while lying down.
The county's medical examiners routinely testify in other cases that they use police reports about circumstances and investigator's observations in helping them arrive at their conclusions. But Schmidt said today his office received no information from law enforcement sources to aid in the autopsy's findings.

"At least half the gunshot wounds affected his vital organs," Schmidt said, adding that he could not tell which specific bullet caused his death. Abayomi Azikiwe of the Michigan Emergency Committee against War and Injustice called Abdullah's death "a targeted assassination."

"Whoever was responsible should be criminally prosecuted," Azikiwe said. "After they shot him, they dumped him in a trailer like a dog." An investigator with Schmidt's office reported that when she arrived at the shooting scene, Abdullah's body was lying in the bottom of a truck trailer. "She said his hands were cuffed behind his back," Schmidt said.

He couldn't say when Abdullah was restrained, or if his body had been moved to the trailer after death. The autopsy didn't detail the types or sizes of 13 bullets removed from Abdullah's body. The report documents the recovery of another bullet fragment and numerous small metallic fragments recovered from the pelvis.

There were no gunpowder burns on the body, indicating the fatal shots weren't fired from point blank range. Schmidt said his medical tests didn't include checking whether there was gunpowder residue on the victim's hands. "That would be something the police would do," he said.

Although Abdullah was not shot in the head, he suffered cuts and abrasions on his face, and a fracture of the bone behind his upper lip. A tooth fragment and broken denture were received with the body. Earlier today, Police Chief Ronald Haddad wouldn't discuss the autopsy during a press conference that drew a small crowd of protesters. He said Dearborn Police continue to investigate the shooting. Haddad said he requested the county medical examiner hold off releasing the report to "ensure the integrity of the case."

"Balancing the interest of justice and the public's right to know, our investigators worked diligently to complete this segment of the investigation," Haddad said.
He said they are looking at ballistics reports and eyewitness accounts, among other evidence, and they would need "several weeks" to complete the probe.

The findings will be released to the office of Attorney General Mike Cox. The U.S. Department of Justice and Inspector General also are investigating. Ron Scott, director of the Detroit Coalition Against Police Brutality called for an independent investigation.

"There are still a lot of questions left unanswered," said Scott, who attended Schmidt's press conference. "All we know right now is, (Abdullah's) body was shot up like Swiss cheese. People need to remember: This was a religious leader who was killed."
Scott also said authorities would not have waited so long to release the autopsy results, "unless they had something to hide."

County spokesman Dennis Niemiec said Haddad sent the Medical Examiner's Office a signed and notarized affidavit explaining why police wanted the results kept under wraps. Medical examiners received Abdullah's body the day of the shooting, and the autopsy was performed the next day. The medical examiner's investigation was completed Nov. 30.

"At that point it was the intent of the medical examiner to release the report, but Chief Haddad requested the delay. On Dec. 9, we received a signed, notarized affidavit explaining the specifics of why we shouldn't release the report."
Those specifics included the need for police to conduct ballistics investigations, among other things.

"If we didn't think that was specific enough we could have said we were going to release the report anyway," Niemiec said. "They could have then taken us to court to block that. So, given that (Dearborn police) said they were going to finish up their report by (Jan. 31), we figured we'd hold off releasing it." Schmidt said he can only recall one other instance where police asked him to withhold an autopsy report. "

That was in the Nevaeh Buchanan case," he said, referring to the five-year-old Monroe girl whose body was found last year in a shallow grave. That autopsy report still has not been made public.
